Event Release and Code of Conduct
BY REGISTERING FOR AND ATTENDING HYBRID WORK. MADE REAL. (THE “EVENT”), I, FOR MYSELF, MY HEIRS, PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVES, EXECUTORS AND ASSIGNS, HEREBY AGREE TO RELEASE, WAIVE, FOREVER DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE CISCO SYSTEMS, INC., ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, SHAREHOLDERS, EMPLOYEES, VENDORS, AGENTS, AND CONTRACTORS (HEREINAFTER “CISCO”) AND WILL DEFEND, INDEMNIFY AND HOLD CISCO HARMLESS FROM ANY AND ALL ALLEGED AND/OR ACTUAL LIABILITY, CLAIMS, ACTIONS, LAWSUITS, DAMAGES, OR LOSSES, OF ANY KIND (“CLAIMS”), INCLUDING ATTORNEY'S FEES, WHICH ARISE OUT OF OR RESULT FROM MY ATTENDANCE AT AND PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENT AND ANCILIARY ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IF APPLICABLE, PERSONAL INJURIES, ACCIDENTS OR ILLNESS (INCLUDING DEATH) AND PROPERTY LOSS OR DAMAGE WHETHER OR NOT FORESEEABLE.
I have read and understand the previous paragraph. I know, understand, and appreciate these and other risks that may be inherent in attending the Event. I hereby assert that my participation in the Event is voluntary and that I knowingly assume all risks of injury, illness, death or other loss that may arise from or related to my participation in the Event.
SEVERABILITY: I further expressly agree that the foregoing waiver and assumption of risk agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law of the State of California and that if any portion is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.
COMPETITORS: The Event is not intended for Cisco competitors. I agree that I have accurately represented my corporate affiliation and I do not work for a Cisco competitor. I also understand that Cisco has the right, in its sole discretion, to deny access to registrants from competitors.
IMAGE USE: I understand that Cisco or its authorized representatives may take photographs and/or videos at the Event. I hereby grant to Cisco and its authorized representatives the absolute right and permission to use my image and/or photograph or to refrain from doing so, in any manner or media whether existing now or hereinafter developed (including without limitation the World Wide Web and the Internet), worldwide, for trade, advertising and/or promotional purposes. I agree I shall have no rights of review or approval, no claim to compensation, and no claim arising out of or resulting from the use, alteration, blurring, distortion or illusionary effect (whether intentional or otherwise) and agree to release and hold Cisco and its authorized representatives harmless for any and all such use(s).
COPYRIGHT The Event shares content owned by or licensed to Cisco (“Cisco Content”). Cisco owns and retains all rights in the Cisco Content, including all intellectual property rights. Cisco hereby grants you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-sublicensable and non-transferable license to view and display (but not modify) the Cisco Content solely as necessary for your authorized use of the information. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING: I am 18 years of age or older. I have carefully read this release, fully understand its terms, and understand that I am giving up substantial rights, including my right to sue. I understand that I have the right to have my attorney review this agreement. I acknowledge that I am signing the agreement freely and voluntarily and intend by my signature for this to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.
PERSONAL INFORMATION: I understand and agree that Cisco will be collecting and using personal information about me for the purposes of: (i) associating that information with my Event registration, and (ii) providing me with information about the Event, follow up events, and Cisco’s products and services, including by electronic and other direct marketing communications such as emails and SMS. I understand that I may unsubscribe from receipt of such subsequent communications from Cisco should I so wish.

CODE OF CONDUCT: Cisco is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. Cisco does not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language or imagery is not appropriate for any portion of the Event, including keynotes, sessions, chat sessions, networking, 1:1 meeting, social media related to the Event, or other online media. Conference participants violating these rules may be expelled from the conference at the discretion of the conference organizers.
Harassment includes offensive verbal or online comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of sessions or other areas of the conference, inappropriate outreach or contact, and unwelcome sexual advances.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
